I enrolled in the Adult Driving Course at Arlington Driving Academy after putting off getting my license for years. The lessons were clear and easy to follow. I took my road test with them and passed on my first attempt. A week later, I had my license in hand. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend them for adults who want to get it done right.
As an adult learner, I was nervous about the road test, but my instructor Sohel at Arlington Driving Academy made me feel confident from day one. The adult course prepared me really well, and I passed my driving test on the first try. Thanks to their guidance, I now have my license and can finally drive on my own. Best decision I made.
I took the Adult Driving Course at Arlington Driving Academy and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Everything was explained in a way that made sense, even for someone with no prior driving experience. I passed my road test in one attempt and got my license without any hassle. The staff is professional, patient, and very supportive.”
Arlington Driving Academy helped me go from zero confidence to a licensed driver. Their adult course was straightforward and practical, and the road test felt easy because of how well they prepared me. I passed on my first try and walked out knowing I was ready to drive safely. If you’re an adult looking to get your license, this is the place to go.

Most driving courses for adults forget to mention this critical step, and students get turned away at the DPS. Don’t let that be you.

| 3. The Test |

| 4. Processing |
Submit your sealed envelope to the DPS. | Since you already passed with us, your DPS visit is just paperwork and a photo. We can even secure your DPS appointment time for you to ensure you get the earliest possible slot for a small concierge fee. |
| 5. The License |
Receive your temporary paper license. | Your official hard card arrives in 2–3 weeks. You’re legal to drive immediately! |
Absolutely not. About 40% of our students are adults over 25 who, for various reasons (living in cities with transit, anxiety, or family situations), never got their license. You will not be "the odd one out," and our instructors treat you with the respect you deserve not like a teenager.
No. We start every new driver in a large, empty parking lot. We only move to quiet residential streets when you feel ready. We never force you onto highways until you have mastered the basics of merging and lane changes in a controlled environment.
It happens, and it’s not the end of the world. Because you are testing with Arlington Driving Academy (a 3rd Party Testing School) and not the DPS, we can usually reschedule you for a retest within 24-48 hours. We will also tell you exactly what maneuver you missed so you can practice it before trying again. We also have package which support prior practice before the real Road test you can choose that and be comfortable and get ready for your test.
Yes. You can use our dual-control training vehicle for your road test. This is often better for nervous drivers because it’s the same car you may have practiced in, and it’s smaller/easier to park than a large family SUV.
If you want to take driving lessons with us, yes. You must have a valid Texas learner's permit (restricted B license) to be behind the wheel legally. If you are only taking the 6-hour online course to waive the written test, you do not need a permit yet.
Once you pass the road test with us, we give you a sealed envelope. You take that to the DPS (you will need an appointment for "Change/Replace/Renew" which is faster than a "New Driver" appointment). They will process your paperwork and issue a temporary paper license on the spot. Your card arrives in the mail in 2-3 weeks.
